The Philippines have been proof of God’s glory and creativity. The people here have welcomed us in and given us so much love and care. I love our ministry and our little community.

My team is in charge of Youth Lab, which is the youth group here. We have helped pass out flyers, plan hangouts, and helped with worship. The kids are so sweet and curious about the gospel. It has been really encouraging to see them wanting to learn more about God and His love for each one of them.

I had the opportunity to go to Tondo, which is where another team is serving. I met a girl named Kendra and we talked for awhile and she shared why she trusts in Jesus and just opened up to me about a lot of things she had struggled with. Her mom invited me into their apartment and made me coffee and I got to talk with her grandma and mom. They are Jehovah’s witnesses and they explained their beliefs to me and I explained mine to them. Even though we have different beliefs, we were able to become friends and just have good conversations with one another. Please keep Kendra and her family in your prayers!

On night, Jessica and I were walking back from the church and this older lady started talking to us. Her name is Naynay and she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. We asked if we could pray for her and then she invited us into her home to pray. We got to see her grandchildren and her grandson even prayed with us. I truly felt so loved just by her small action of inviting us in.

My teammates have really been incredible in this season. I have been sick for a little while now and they have taken such good care of me and we have so many great memories together. I am truly so blessed to serve with these girls. Please keep my team, Kendra and her family, Naynay, and the rest of the squad in your prayers!
